Printing / Faxing/Scanning

  • Xerox printer available for printing or making copies, faxing, or scanning

  • 20 cents/page for Black and White prints

  • 50 cents/page for Color prints

  • $1 per fax up to five pages, $1 per each additional five pages

  • Scanning to a USB is free

Wireless Printing

Please note! You must be connected to the Library Wi-Fi in order to print. 

STEP ONE 
On your mobile device/laptop click or tap the red Mobile Printing button on this page. 

STEP TWO
On the Cybrarian AirPrinter Page that comes up, choose Slippery Rock Community Library

STEP THREE
Select if you want Black & White or a Color copy.

STEP FOUR
Click or tap the Choose File button. Select your file and confirm (it will say Choose or Open)

STEP FIVE
Click calculate to see the cost of the print job

STEP SIX
Click Print to proceed

STEP SEVEN
Once you have clicked print, speak to a librarian at the Circulation Desk to pay and to pick up your print. 

Library Cards

A library card is free to Butler County residents with proper identification. Your card is permanent and must be renewed each year. It entitles you to borrow materials from any of the 9 libraries within the Butler County Federated Library System.

Library Card Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

  • A parent or legal guardian’s signature is required in person for anyone under 18 years of age.

  • Proper identification is a driver’s license with current address OR two other forms of identification with current address, such as a recent utility bill, Pennsylvania identification card, or a bank statement.

  • Lost or destroyed cards may be replaced at a cost of $2.50.

Using Your Library Card

You must present your card to check out materials. You may have any combination of 25 items checked out at one time, including:
  • Books, books on CD, and DVDs - 3 weeks

        ($0.25 per day if overdue)

Public Computers

The Slippery Rock Community Library currently has 4 desktop computers and two laptops available for public use. Our computers have high speed Internet access and Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

If we don’t have the item you are looking for, we may still be able to get it for you through interlibrary loan (ILL). Search our catalog to see if we have it. If not, see if it is owned by any of the other libraries in the county. If they do, please see the front desk to ask for a hold on the item. If not, please fill out an Interlibrary Loan Request Form.

(Brand new items CANNOT be ordered through out of county loans. Ask us at the front desk when the item you’re interested in will be available)

In County:

  • These usually take one to two days, except during weekends or holidays

  • You will be called when the item arrives and will have three days for materials to be picked up

  • These items will be held at the circulation desk

  • Our usual renewal and late fee policies apply

  • Items may be returned at the front desk, the drop box, or at any BCFLS library

Out of County:

  • Patrons may request up to three items through interlibrary loan

  • Items take an average of two weeks to arrive

  • You will be called when the item arrives and it will be held at the front desk for three days

  • Items CAN’T be renewed AND late fees are $1/day

  • Borrowing is jeopardized by tardiness

  • Items must be returned to the front desk

  • Donations for this service are not mandatory, but always welcome
